Professionally, Marcie Wald, LCSW, is a bilingual, academic and career counselor and instructor at Cabrillo Community College in Aptos, California on the Monterey Bay. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Sociology from the University of California at Santa Cruz. Her Master's degree in Social Work was granted by the Bryn Mawr Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research. After becoming licensed as a clinical social worker, Marcie provided psychotherapy in non-profit settings and private practice. She created her own internship three times to transition from clinical to academic and career counseling. She has taught classes and workshops and presented at professional and student conferences.
On the personal level, Marcie enjoys ocean rowing and striving to learn flamenco dance. She travels when she can, usually choosing destinations according to their natural endowments. Marcie's friends keep her laughing and goofing off just enough, but not too much. She was raised near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
